Scheduling Field Trips at the St. George Children’s Museum
Planning a field trip to the Museum is easy and rewarding! To get started, complete the Field Trip Request Form accurately and thoroughly. Missing or incomplete information may delay scheduling.
Cost
- Monday Field Trips: School-funded educational trips on Mondays are available at a reduced rate of $4.50 per student.
- Weekday Field Trips: Groups scheduling field trips during the week (Tuesday–Friday) are charged at the Museum’s regular admission rates.
- Chaperones: Always free.
- Additional visitors: Non-students, non-chaperones, or children over age 2 will be charged the regular admission rate.
Minimum Requirements
- Monday Field Trips: A minimum of 50 students is required to reserve a Monday field trip, offering private access to the Museum.
- Weekday Field Trips: No minimum group size is required; normal admission rates apply.
Supervision
- Groups must provide at least 1 chaperone for every 5 students to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit.
Important Notes:
- Please allow 48 hours (2 business days) for the form to be reviewed and approved. Submitting a request does not guarantee your preferred date. Once the date is finalized, a confirmation email will follow.
- Adherence to museum rules and proper supervision are essential on the day of the field trip for a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
Expectations for Visitors:
- Clean-Up Is Part of Play: Encourage children to tidy up after using exhibits to respect the space and other guests.
- Share the Museum: Be mindful of other visitors and allow everyone to enjoy the exhibits.
- Chaperone Responsibilities: Chaperones must supervise children at all times. SGCM staff is not responsible for monitoring field trip attendees.
